Best Friend......................

It's not the same when we have to start and stop, you come so close and you go so far. I let you in and now you want out, it's the daily confusion of so called "best friends." Surely I've learnt my lesson from you, never again will I invest in someone who's determined to not go anywhere with me. You have the world of excuses why you won't try, so from here on out no more tears, only those who going the distance will I ever ever cry. You claim to be different but really you're just like the rest, raising my stress and deceiving this bleeding thing in my chest. Moving away from you was hard because I honestly believed you when you said we going to go far, now I see that you're happy being ill treated and used as a doormat.

I'm about up to the ceiling with all these lies, why would you lead me on and then say it was your alter ego? You knew what you did and you know why you stopped, I just wish you would stop lying and be out with the truth. I've been nothing but straightforward and genuine with you, but you've always held back and perhaps it's time I did too. You say you want things the way they used to be, but for that to happen you won't mean anything to me. I won't waste anymore of your time trying to be that kind of friend, what you really want is a toy that you can play with and cast aside whenever you feel like. It's not all bad because I've learnt a lot about myself from you, I've seen why people advantage me and what I need to do to stop that. I've also seen why full commitment is a waste of time, it makes no sense when everyone else is holding a piece of them away from you . Some day you're going to feel the pain I feel now, I won't be there to pull you out though, by that time I'll be over you and suffering a new slavery, but at least I'll be wise enough to know when to escape.

Let this be a lesson to all of my readers, it's no fun being in love when somebody pretends not to love you back. You can try how much you like with people, but birds of a feather really do flock together and they're heifers the same way............................................................
